\nbaby monitors and other smart devices can be (and have been) hacked.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The usual culprit? Weak default passwords.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In one of the creepiest reported episodes, the attacker spoke to a young girl in Tennessee pretending to be \u2018Father Christmas.\u2019 <\/p>\n

Terrifying. And a good reminder for security experts to take the dangers of human oversight<\/a> seriously, both at home and at work.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, tech
\nconferences<\/strong> all over the world are being cancelled or going virtual<\/a> over global infection fears.<\/p>\n
