Get a sense of what they do, and, most importantly, what they have done recently. Chances are\u202fthey recently released a new product or service, that they were featured in a news article. See if you can factor that into the conversation.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You should also try to get a sense of culture. Is it formal, laid back?\u202fThe response will help you prepare better.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I am not going to get into the recommended attire \u2013 that goes without saying.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h2><strong>Honesty<\/strong>\u202f\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Let\u2019s clarify something.\u202fConducting extensive research and preparations\u202ffor the interview does not mean you should just\u202fshow up and\u202fplay\u202fthe\u202fpart.\u202fHonesty is key, both to your interviewers and to yourself. Pretending to be in line with everything the company\u202fmight get you the job after all. But the truth will eventually\u202freveal itself, and you will either end up hating your job or not fitting in.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Be straightforward, be yourself.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h2><strong>Be humble, but ring the bell<\/strong>\u202f\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Honesty is great, but it is even better when paired with humility.\u202fThe purpose of job interviews is to evaluate\u202fa candidate\u2019s fit for\u202fa\u202fposition. Both culturally and in terms of technical skills.\u202fThat requires you to highlight your abilities\u202fand qualifications; to present your story in a way that\u202ffurther\u202freinforces the good feeling the interviewer got from your <a class=\"has-text-color\" href=\"https:\/\/mindquest.io\/en\/blog\/news\/2286\/cv-writing-tips-for-it-professionals\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>CV<\/strong><\/a>. Many\u202fwait\u202fwith\u202fdread\u202ffor\u202fthe moment\u202fwhen\u202fthey are asked\u202fone\u202fof these\u202finfamous tricky questions.\u202fThey can feel like a trap \u2013 say the wrong thing, and you\u2019re toast.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In reality, and no matter what\u202fsome claim, there is not a right or wrong way to answer these questions. They are designed\u202ffor\u202ftwo things: to\u202freveal your thought\u202fprocesses and\u202fto\u202fevaluate your professional\u202fcharacter and professional\u202fethics.\u202fWith that in mind,\u202flet\u202fthe previously mentioned points &#8211;\u202fhonesty and humility \u2013\u202fguide your way.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h2><strong>Prepare for an IT Job Interview: Ask questions\u202fyourself\u202f\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Finally, it is\u202fvery\u202fimportant to ask questions back.\u202fIt does not only make the interview more dynamic\u202fand helps you guide the\u202fconversation;but it also shows that you have initiative and are proactive when faced with a challenge.\u202fIt also offers a good opportunity to show you did your homework and researched the company\u202fcarefully.
